Just reminding you of a couple guidelines:

• Record yourself a capella, by listening through headphones as you record. I can only mix you in if your track is a capella.
• Try to record yourself loudly, but also be aware of distortion or mic popping. In past rounds I’ve tried to compensate for really quiet tracks by bringing down all the other ones to match it, but there’s only so much I can do.
• As they say in High School Musical, we’re all in this together.
  If you’re at all reluctant or self-conscious about the way you sing, don’t be.
  I’m going to do my best to mix the track in such a way that everyone can be heard without anyone standing out, so that we sound as much like a community as possible.

In the dialogue part, might I gently suggest that we split between males and females, with the men singing the Neil part and the women singing the Felicia part? Like

     DUDES: “No – I ju – I love the – air… Huh!”
     ALL: Anyway…
But please do not apply this gender split to the whole song, that would be foolish.

Here at Sing Along Club, each month (or so) we all take a specified song, run off into our corners and record ourselves singing along with it, and then throw them into the melting pot, where they are mixed together into a communal anthem of the month.
